Recall is a flashcard app built around spaced repetition — the study method that schedules each card for the moment you are about to forget it. Rate a card Again, Hard, Good or Easy, and Recall works out when to show it next. Cards you know well come back after progressively longer gaps. Cards you keep missing come back straight away. Over time you spend almost all of your study time on the material you have not learned yet. WHAT YOU GET • Four ready-made decks, 120 cards in total: World Capitals, Spanish Essentials, Chemical Elements, and US State Capitals. Open the app and start studying. • Create your own decks and cards, with no limit on how many. • A study session that shows you exactly when each rating will bring the card back — one day, four days, three months — before you choose. • Statistics covering what you reviewed today, what is still due, your retention rate, and how many cards fall due over the coming week. BUILT TO STAY OUT OF YOUR WAY • No account. No sign-up. No email address required. • No adverts, no subscriptions, no in-app purchases. • Works entirely offline. There is no networking code in the app at all. • Collects nothing. Your decks stay on your device and are never transmitted anywhere, because there is nowhere for them to go. THE SCHEDULING Recall uses the SM-2 algorithm, the spaced repetition scheme published by Piotr Wozniak in 1987 and still the basis of most serious review software. Each card carries its own ease factor, which rises when you find the card easy and falls when you struggle, so the schedule adapts to you card by card rather than applying one fixed interval to everything. Recall is free, and stays free.
