The ANSI-accredited Responsible Cannabis Agent certificate program is based on Foundation of Cannabis Unified Standards (FOCUS) published health and safety standards. This certificate program trains new employee-candidates and existing workers in Good Management Practice (GMP) programs and the employee roles in successful cultivation, manufacturing, retail/dispensary, and laboratory facilities of the cannabis industry. This certificate program guides you to these training objectives. o Expertise with FOCUS industry standards o Knowledge of a Quality Management System (QMS) and key operational programs o Basic awareness of the federal, state, and local laws that support cannabis-facility licensing o Readiness to act in an operational role, as directed by cannabis facility management o Competency with cannabis plants, compounds, products, and use The Responsible Cannabis Agent program builds your expertise with key Quality Management System (QMS) programs. o Training o Health & Safety o Hazard Control o Facility Maintenance o Tracking & Recall o Package & Labeling o Transportation o Security o Receiving o Storage o Customer & Patient Controls You’ll be ready to act in key roles, at the direction of your management team. o Trainer o Health and safety coordinator o First-aid provider (if you have additional training) o Hazard control coordinator o Recall coordinator o Transport team member o Security team member o Dispensary employee or vendor (also known as budtender) The course content has five levels 1. Cannabis Industry and FOCUS Quality Management System (QMS) Standards 2. Cannabis Plants, Products, and Effects on the Human Body 3. Employee Roles in Key QMS Programs 4. Cannabis Industry Laws and Compliance 5. Safe Product Handling Here is what you do to complete the Certificate Program. • Have access to an iPhone or iPad. • Know how to use the browser or mobile device (iPhone or other) to access the Responsible Cannabis Agent certificate program. • Valid personal identification to include name, mailing address, email address, and phone number. This information will be required for online proctoring. • Payment of the program license fee. Payment is made within the certificate program app after you evaluate and confirm the certificate app features. • A 'seat time' of approximately five to ten hours to learn, quiz, and complete the examination which evaluates your training outcome.
