The long-range history in the chart (before 2021) comes from the official reference rates published by the European Central Bank (ECB), which the ECB itself issues once each weekday. On weekends and public holidays the FX market is closed, so rates barely move. These are not live trading rates, and they are reference rates that differ from what banks or exchange counters actually offer. Please check with your financial institution before acting on them.
