OUR HISTORY Our station was founded in 1989 in Pratola Peligna in the province of L'Aquila with the name of Radio Stella International and broadcast on frequencies of 98.00 and 100.00 MHz. The founding partners are Franco & Giuseppe D'angelo - Franco Pallottini - Giuseppe Cirillo - Luca Rosato. The radio station in the early days, even if with a discreet signal, was immediately successful with numerous programs from dance to Italian music to that of the 60-70-80 years. In August 1989, with the expansion of the corporate structure and the entry of the new shareholder Franco Ferretti, we decided to transfer the station to Sulmona via the tanneries where it continued its activity. In 1990 the radio broadcaster made another transfer from the tanneries to the avenue of the republic, where it became part of major networks such as radio dj and radio Italy. success continued until February 1993 when, due to a sudden drop in the advertising and staff sector, the issuer underwent a notable change, including the return to the original name Radio Stella International. Getting back to success was a difficult thing, we never lost heart and we managed to get back what we had lost. In August 1993, some shareholders sold their shares to Patrizio Colucci, who became in fact the majority owner of the radio. Colucci, after the purchase, decided to change the name of the radio from Stella Dj to Radio Dimensione Abruzzo. But this never began because, in September 1993, the order to obscure the signal and the closure of the issuer arrived from the Ministry of Communications. Over the years, as a result of many reflections, we realized that our life is to make radio and to give back to their city an issuer that in its time made the history of local broadcasting, today we are back to continue that that we had interrupted at the time.
