Radio Waíra is the communication project of the Indigenous Peoples of the Putumayo department. Since 2002, it has worked to strengthen the cultural identity, autonomy, and participation of Indigenous communities through their own inclusive and intercultural communication. Through its programming, Radio Waíra connects the cultural, social, political, and economic processes of the Indigenous councils, reserves, and organizations of Putumayo, promoting the preservation of languages, traditions, ancestral knowledge, and the collective memory of Indigenous peoples. The station has established itself as a space for encounter, dialogue, and community participation, where the voices of the communities are central and contribute to the holistic development of Indigenous peoples, the defense of their rights, the stewardship of their territory, and the building of a culture of peace in Putumayo. With communication based on respect, diversity and cultural identity, Radio Waíra continues to be a bridge that strengthens the unity of native peoples and brings their stories, knowledge and values ​​closer to the whole of society.
