Radio Maria Burundi is a Catholic radio station belonging to a large family of Maria Radios in the world. It has been broadcasting since April 17, 2004. Its headquarters are in the city of Bujumbura in the Gihosha district near the Archdiocese of Bujumbura. It is an instrument of evangelization according to the mandate of Christ (Mk 16,15) and as lived by the Catholic Church. Its programs consist essentially of fairly consistent moments of prayer, programs aimed at converting and maturing the Christian life. They are also made up of human promotion programs and moments of healthy entertainment that foster a healthy and fulfilling spiritual climate. Referring to her faith in divine providence, Radio Maria Burundi lives materially and technically the financial, intellectual, technical and organizational contributions of her listeners, her friends and the Christians who unite with their hearts and souls to the Holy Virgin Mary want to respond to the demands of the New Evangelization.
