Qryvok Zhel is a precision reference instrument for anyone who studies, handles, or collects ancient Greek pottery. Take six measurements from any vessel or shard using standard gauging tools, and the app instantly renders a live cross-section profile, scores your piece against a canon of 24 authenticated Attic shapes, and names the closest match with a confidence percentage. The identification engine weighs five proportional ratios — height-to-belly, rim-to-belly, shoulder height, neck-to-belly, and foot-to-belly — across the full shape canon, from belly amphora and calyx krater to lekythos and loutrophoros. Every losing candidate receives a plain-English exclusion note explaining exactly why it was ruled out. Handle scheme is validated separately, keeping results rigorous. Capacity is calculated by integrating your drawn profile across 400 disc slices, yielding volume both to the rim and to the neck. Results appear in modern litres and in the full ancient Greek liquid ladder — kyathos, kotyle, chous, hemiekton, and metretes. The built-in Measures screen doubles as a unit converter and a step-by-step technique guide for each of the eight physical gauging tools in a standard kit. The Atlas reference grid displays all 24 canon shapes as rendered profile cards, filterable by use class — Storage, Transport, Mixing, Pouring, Drinking, Perfume, Water, or Funerary — and by ware period from Geometric through Relief ware. Your Cabinet preserves every saved reading on a personal shelf, with optional photographs and notes. Everything runs fully offline. No account required.
