QRiV Battlers is a monster-collecting battle game where you scan real-world barcodes and QR codes to discover creatures generated directly from the code itself. The same code always produces the exact same monster, no matter when or where you scan it. A snack wrapper, a book's ISBN, a QR code on a street sign — everyday objects around you become potential discoveries. ■ How to Play ・Scan — read any barcode or QR code around you ・Discover — a monster unique to that code is generated ・Raise — deepen your bond through daily care, and evolve your monster ・Battle — five elemental types (Water, Fire, Wind, Dark, Lightning) form a cycle of strengths and weaknesses — read the matchups and win ■ The Story Behind It As a kid, I was obsessed with Barcode Battler, scanning random barcodes at the corner store to see what would come out. I always wondered what that idea would look like built today, in a world where QR codes are everywhere. QRiV Battlers is my answer — a solo project built over more than a year. At its core is an FNV-1a hash of the scanned code, which deterministically derives a monster's stats, element, and rarity. The same code will always generate the same monster, wherever and whenever it's scanned. Free to play.
