Psychro Calc Pro is a professional-grade psychrometric calculator designed for HVAC engineers, industrial process designers, and building energy analysts. Unlike simple lookup tools, it solves the complete thermodynamic state of moist air from ANY two independent input parameters — dry bulb temperature, wet bulb, dew point, relative humidity, humidity ratio, or enthalpy. No restrictions on which pair you choose. ───────────────────────────── KEY FEATURES ───────────────────────────── ► Any Two Parameters Enter any combination of two psychrometric properties. The solver resolves all remaining values including Tdb, Twb, Tdp, RH, W, h, and density. ► Live Psychrometric Chart A real-time psychrometric chart displays RH curves, enthalpy lines, and your calculated state point. Automatically switches to Industrial Drying Mode for temperatures above 60°C — essential for drying and dehumidification applications. ► SI & IP Unit Systems Full support for both SI (°C, kJ/kg, g/kg, kg/m³) and IP (°F, Btu/lb, gr/lb, lb/ft³) unit systems. Switch at any time — all values convert instantly. ► Altitude Correction Atmospheric pressure is corrected for altitude using the International Standard Atmosphere (ISO 2533) model, ensuring accurate results from sea level to 5000 m. ► Calculation History The last 50 calculations are saved automatically. Load any previous result, rename it with a custom label, or delete individual entries. Data persists between sessions. ► PDF Report Export Generate a professional A4 report including the psychrometric chart, full results table, and your company logo. Ideal for engineering documentation and client reports. ───────────────────────────── THERMODYNAMIC METHODOLOGY ───────────────────────────── All calculations are based on ASHRAE Handbook of Fundamentals (2021), Chapter 1 — Psychrometrics: • Saturation Pressure: Magnus-Tetens formula (Tetens, 1930), valid from −50°C to +150°C • Humidity Ratio: W = 0.62198 · Pv / (Patm − Pv) • Enthalpy: h = 1.006·Tdb + W·(2501 + 1.86·Tdb) [kJ/kg da] • Density: Ideal gas law for moist air (Hyland & Wexler, 1983) • Dew Point: Inverse Magnus-Tetens formulation • Altitude Pressure: ISA standard atmosphere model (ISO 2533:1975) Inverse calculations use the Bisection Method with guaranteed convergence (max 60 iterations, Δ < 0.01 criterion). Every result is validated against physical constraints: RH ≤ 100.5%, W ≥ 0, and the temperature hierarchy Tdp ≤ Twb ≤ Tdb.
