Providence Baptist Church exists to glorify God. We seek to worship the Lord in spirit and in truth, preaching God’s Word verse by verse, in order to equip the saints for the work of ministry and evangelism. The Providence Baptist Church app will help you stay connected with the day-to-day life of our church. Within this app, you can watch or listen to past sermons, stay updated with push notifications, read the Bible, see our upcoming events, and have access to our giving platform. — What’s in a name? A lot when it comes to Providence Baptist Church. We are a local congregation of Christians who delight in knowing we’ve been saved “according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will” (Ephesians 1:11). In other words, God is in control. And because he is in control “we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28). What a great comfort in this fallen, fragile world to know we have a heavenly Father who is in the details of our lives ensuring that we make it to glory. The providence of God truly is amazing grace, as John Newton sang in 1779: Amazing grace (how sweet the sound) that saved a wretch like me! I once was lost, but now am found, was blind, but now I see. Through many dangers, toils and snares I have already come: 'tis grace has brought me safe thus far, and grace will lead me home.
