That lets the app place the on-screen bullseye over the part of the phone actually doing the detecting—not simply the center of the screen. Place the phone flat against the wall, set the wall background, and slide slowly from side to side. A simple 0-to-10 Target Score, color-changing bullseye, and haptic feedback help you locate nearby steel screws, nails, metal studs, plates, and steel conduit. Broad, repeated signals can display a center line, while smaller localized signals stay on the bullseye. TWO COMPLETE SCANS FREE Try two complete wall scans before unlocking. Starting scan three or opening Level presents Precision Pro, a $3.99 one-time purchase with no subscription. It includes unlimited scans, the built-in bubble level and digital angle tool, history, target marks, and export. Results vary with wall thickness, target depth, phone model, case, orientation, and nearby magnetic interference. This app detects nearby steel; it does not detect wood studs, PVC, copper, aluminum, or live electrical wires. Always confirm before drilling.
