Your to-do list holds the keys to your phone. Most blockers ask when. Precede asks what you finished. Choose the two or three things that actually matter today. Pick the apps, categories and websites that pull you away. They stay paused until your list is done — and the moment you tick the last one, everything opens. NOT A TIMER. A CHECKBOX. A schedule blocks you at 2pm whether you're working or avoiding. Precede pauses your distractions while an unfinished essential exists, and clears the moment none are left. The unlock condition is your own progress, so it's never wrong about what you're actually doing. DOOMSCROLLING SHOULD BE EARNED. Any essential can be worth break time — 5 to 60 minutes, your call. Finish it and that time is banked, not spent. You decide when to start it. A countdown runs, your chosen apps open, and when it reaches zero everything pauses again on its own — even if Precede is closed. Set a daily ceiling of 30, 60, 90 or 120 minutes, or switch Earned Breaks off entirely. UNFINISHED WORK NEVER PILES UP. Each day closes on its own and is kept as history. Anything you didn't finish waits for a decision instead of following you around: move it to today, save it for later, or delete it. Yesterday's ambition never quietly holds your phone hostage this morning. YOU SET EVERY BOUNDARY. - Choose exactly which apps, categories and websites are paused - Decide which tasks are essential and which are just tasks - Set break lengths, a daily break limit, or no breaks at all - Turn automatic pausing off whenever you genuinely need to - Or skip Screen Time entirely and use Precede as a plain task list STAYS ON YOUR IPHONE. Your tasks are stored on your device. Your app selections are handled by Apple's own Screen Time controls and kept as private tokens on device. There's no account and nothing to sign up for.
