Potjes splits your money into separate jars, so you always know what you can still spend. Make a jar for groceries, eating out, clothes or fuel, set an amount per week or per month, and that is it. Every expense comes out, every top-up goes in. At the top you see, in one number, how much is still available in total. WHY POTJES No bank connection and no account. You decide which jars you have. A keypad built for amounts, so logging an expense takes two taps. Every entry is kept, so you can always see where the money went. Everything is tracked in whole cents, so no rounding surprises. WEEKLY OR MONTHLY Each jar runs per week or per month. You choose which day the week starts on and which day of the month a new period begins. Paid on the 25th? Set the month to day 25 and your monthly jars roll over at exactly that moment. CARRY OVER OR START FRESH Per jar you choose whether the remainder moves to the next period. Want a clean slate every week? Turn carry-over off. A shortfall carries over the same way, so it stays in view. SAVING TOWARD A GOAL Give a jar a target amount and it saves toward something instead of running empty each period. Add a deadline and the app works out what to put in per week or month. Savings jars are left out of the amount still available, because money set aside for a holiday is money you stay away from. LOOKING BACK Per jar, see what you spent on average over recent periods, how often you went over budget, and which budget fits that pattern better. One tap and it is set. A JAR TOGETHER Share a jar with your partner or housemate. You both log into it and see each other's spending. It runs entirely over iCloud, so there is no server and no account. You choose whether the other person can log entries or only look. WIDGETS Put one jar on your home screen or lock screen, or an overview of all your jars. Tap it and you land straight in the entry screen for that jar. POTJES PRO For free you keep five jars, with everything above except syncing, sharing and looking back. Potjes Pro adds unlimited jars, syncing through your own iCloud, sharing jars and looking back. Pro is an auto-renewing subscription, monthly or yearly; you cancel through the App Store.
