Store description excerpt
PonderPop: Your Pocket Sanctuary Some days you need to disappear for ninety seconds. PonderPop is where you go. A screen full of drifting bubbles. One tap, and it bursts into light and a note. That is the whole idea — and somewhere between the third bubble and the thirtieth, your shoulders come down and the noise in your head goes quiet. THREE WAYS TO PLAY Zen asks nothing of you. No lives, no clock, no score, no leaderboard, not even a level to climb. Bubbles drift at a gentle pace and the session ends when you decide it does. This is the one for the commute, the waiting room, the ten minutes before sleep. Flow gives it an edge. Let three bubbles slip past and the run is over — so every tap matters, your score becomes something to beat, and the global leaderboard starts to look like a challenge. The same calm surface. A quicker pulse underneath. Songs turns the bubbles into a melody. Pick a tune and they rise carrying its notes, spaced to its rhythm. Pop them as they come and you are playing it, start to finish, in about a minute and a half: Amazing Grace, Auld Lang Syne, Arirang and more. When one ends, choose the next. Most people keep all three. They are different moods, not different difficulties. SOUND YOU CAN FEEL Every bubble is a note. Its color picks the note and its size the octave, so small bubbles ring bright and big ones low, and a quick run of pops climbs the scale. Every note sits in the same scale, so there is no wrong pop — a good run sounds like music you are playing rather than music you are hearing. Each palette you unlock plays its own instrument: the bubble pop, marimba, music box or koto. Or mute it all and let it be purely visual. Sound and vibration switch off separately, and it remembers what you chose. BUILT FOR THE POCKET Every mode plays on its own deep color. Bubbles sway as they rise, as see-through soap film or glossy orbs, whichever you prefer. Particles scatter and fade. Nothing flashes, nothing nags. No connection required, so it works on the subway, on a plane, anywhere you happen to be. WHAT IS IN IT - Three ways to play: endless Zen, high-stakes Flow and Songs - Six songs to play by popping, each about a minute and a half - Every pop a note, tuned by its color and size - Bubble palettes that unlock as your daily streak grows, each with its own instrument - Soap film or orb bubbles - Separate switches for sound and vibration - Your best score, bubbles popped and runs played, kept between sessions - A global leaderboard: join under any nickname, or skip it entirely - Plays offline - iPhone and iPad, portrait or landscape STILL GROWING PonderPop is updated often, and music is where it is heading. More songs are on the way, and a way to play them against other people. If there is a song you want in it, tell us — this is the kind of app that gets shaped by the people who actually use it. Turn your phone into somewhere calmer. Download PonderPop. "Sometimes the most profound experiences come from
