Pola is a new kind of ad-free photography community for people who care that an image begins with a real moment. In Pola, you do not upload images from your photo library. Photos are captured directly through Pola, either with the iPhone camera or, in Pola Pro mode, with compatible cameras that support Camera Control API (CCAPI) connectivity. The selected image is not saved to the device’s photo library. It is uploaded to IPFS and can then be minted as a unique 1/1 digital original on Arbitrum One. Its original capture time and, with permission, location data are linked to the photo. If a suitable internet connection is unavailable, Pola can securely preserve one captured photo inside the app so the upload can be continued later without changing its original capture time or location data. Discover creators, follow profiles, like, comment on and share photos, send private messages, and explore images on a map. Pola does not contain advertising and is not built around an endless algorithmic recommendation feed. With MetaMask, you can mint photos from your own wallet, list them for sale, make offers, and collect works created by others. Every blockchain transaction is reviewed and confirmed by you in MetaMask.
