Store description excerpt
PlayBank is a wallet for screen time your kids run themselves. They see what they've got, spend it in timed chunks, and earn more by doing chores you approve. You set a daily allowance for each app group, like Games or Videos, and it can change by day of the week. Chores you approve add extra minutes on top. When they want to play, they choose how much to spend, from a short burst up to their whole balance. The apps open, then lock themselves when the time's up. Stop early and they keep what they didn't use. It's their money, in minutes. HOW IT WORKS - Earn: set chores worth minutes. Your child taps "I did it", you approve, and pick which app group the minutes land in. - See it: every child has a running balance they can check any time. - Spend it: your child chooses an amount and starts a timed window; the app group opens, then re-locks on its own when time runs out. - Change back: stop early and only the used minutes are charged, rounded in your child's favour. - App groups: group apps like Games and Videos, each with its own daily limit, which can vary by day of the week. - Parent mode: behind a PIN, so settings and approvals stay with you. - Guided setup: a checklist shows what's left to do on both devices and ticks each step off as you go. FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY - Every child gets their own app groups and balance. - Up to two parents can approve chores. - One subscription covers everyone. BEFORE YOU BUY PlayBank works on top of Apple's Screen Time, so a few things need to be in place first: - Each child's device signed into their own child Apple ID, inside your Family Sharing group. - A Screen Time passcode set for your child, from a parent's device. Without it, PlayBank can be removed. - PlayBank installed on each child's device, paired with your family, and allowed to use Screen Time. - One profile per device. A child with an iPhone and an iPad needs one for each, and each device keeps its own time. - PlayBank manages apps, not websites. Browsers, Safari included, are outside what it can control. - If you already use Apple's Downtime or App Limits, those need a small adjustment so they don't keep apps blocked after PlayBank unlocks them. The setup guide covers it. PRIVATE BY DESIGN PlayBank collects as little as possible, keeps your family's data to your family, shows no ads, and never tracks your child across other apps. PRICING Your first 14 days are free. After that, keep going with a monthly or yearly subscription; the price is shown in the app. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at purchase, and renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel anytime in Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions. Requires iPhone or iPad on iOS 17 or later.
