PlasticOS is the plastic surgery residency curriculum as an atlas you can actually search. 86 procedures, broken down the way a senior takes you through them: the anatomy you must know before you scrub, the pre-operative assessment and what an abnormal result means, every operative step with its technical pearls, the hazards at each step with how to prevent them and what to do if they happen, donor site management, post-operative monitoring, and the reported outcomes. Every procedure carries its primary reference. Millard on the rotation-advancement cleft lip. Furlow on the double-opposing Z-plasty. Ramirez on component separation. Phalen on the carpal tunnel. You are never asked to trust the app — you are told where it got the claim. CONSULT Ask a clinical question and Consult searches the atlas for you. "Venous congestion in a free flap." "When is a DIEP contraindicated." "Flexor tendon zone 2 repair pearls." It returns the passages that match, grouped by procedure, each with its citation. Consult writes nothing itself. It does not compose an answer, it finds one — so there is nothing for it to invent. It searches as you type, knows that "contraindicated" means the contraindications section, and if you ask what to do for a specific patient it declines and says why. If the atlas has no passage for your question, it says so plainly instead of showing you the closest weak match. Measured, not just described: on 91 clinical questions the right procedure came first 98.9% of the time (96.7% on an unseen set), re-checked before every release. THE CURRICULUM 122 topics organised PGY-1 through PGY-6, following the structure of a plastic surgery residency: fundamentals and wound healing, skin grafts and local flaps, craniofacial, cleft, hand and peripheral nerve, breast, trunk and lower extremity, burns, microsurgery and free tissue transfer, and aesthetic surgery. Case studies, emergency protocols, decision algorithms, layered anatomy, and spaced-repetition review scheduled by how well you actually recalled each topic.
