Snap a receipt and PKTD reads it in seconds using Apple's on-device text recognition. Your receipt photos are scanned and stored on your iPhone, and they are never uploaded for AI processing. Want sharper results? Turn on optional AI parsing and PKTD sends the extracted text — never your images — through our secure server to clean up totals, tax, and line items. Scanning runs on-device with Apple Vision, and your images are never sent to our servers. • AI features are optional and off by default. If you enable them, extracted receipt text and your chat messages (with spending summaries) travel through PKTD's secure server to our AI partner (OpenAI) — never your images. • Card numbers are detected and redacted on your device before any text is sent. Photo location and EXIF metadata are stripped from every saved image. • No ads. No third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
