Store description excerpt

Process a thousand images — and still dare to replace the originals. PixRinse is a native Mac tool for batch image work: compress, convert, resize, derive asset sets, and strip private metadata. Everything runs on your Mac. No image is ever uploaded to the cloud. DROP IN THE WHOLE PROJECT Drag in a project root that contains code, configuration, and images. PixRinse recursively finds the images and leaves code, configs, and other files untouched. SAFE LIKE A TRANSACTION • Preflight: see every file that will be created, replaced or skipped — before anything runs • Backup: originals are copied and hash-verified before replacement • Validate: every output is re-decoded and checked before it lands • Rollback: restore an entire batch from History, byte-identical • Crash recovery: an interrupted job is detected and resolved safely on next launch COMPRESS & CONVERT • PNG / JPEG / WebP / HEIC / TIFF output, BMP & GIF input • Lossless optimize, quality compress, or target a file size (“under 500 KB each”) • “Keep only if smaller” — compression never grows your files • Transparent images never get silently flattened to black RESIZE & DERIVE • Long edge, width, percentage, fit, cover crop, fixed canvas • EXIF orientation normalized automatically • Generate @1x/@2x/@3x or responsive 320–1920 sets from one source PRIVATE BY DESIGN • Strip GPS and device metadata in one click; keep capture date and copyright if you want • No network, no account, no telemetry. App Sandbox: only folders you choose. Includes libwebp © Google Inc. (BSD license).
