Pixelize is a retro pixel art photo editor: pixelate any photo with authentic Game Boy, NES, PICO-8 and Commodore 64 palettes, five dithering algorithms and a live preview that re-renders as you drag. No "process" button. Pick a photo, and every tweak — pixel size, palette, dithering, tone — updates the image instantly. Preview and export come out of the same pixel pipeline, so what you see is exactly what you save. 25 HEX-ACCURATE PALETTES The actual system colors, not "retro-ish" filters: • Game Boy — the four greens (plus Pocket, Ice Cream, Rustic and Mist variants) • NES — all 55 colors • PICO-8 and Sweetie 16 — the fantasy-console favorites • Commodore 64, CGA, Apple II, ZX Spectrum, Sega Master System • Vapor Wave, Cyberpunk, Neon, Sunset, Ocean, Autumn, Crimson, Cotton Candy • Four grayscales, from 1-bit Mono to 16 shades 5 DITHERING ALGORITHMS Floyd-Steinberg error diffusion, Atkinson (the classic Mac look), Ordered, an 8×8 Bayer matrix — or none at all for hard, poster-like color fields. A LIVE PIXEL ART EDITOR • Six pixel sizes, from 4px detail to chunky 32px blocks • Brightness, contrast and saturation, applied before the palette locks in • Cel-shade outline for that hand-drawn sprite look • CRT scanlines straight off a curved glass screen • A before/after slider to compare against the original photo STICKER MAKER Flip one switch to cut the background away to a transparent PNG, tune the cut-out strength, then add a die-cut border — five colors, adjustable thickness. Avatar mode crops square on the way in, so 8-bit profile pictures come out ready to post. PALETTE STUDIO Build your own palettes from scratch: name them, stack up hex codes, save as many as you like. They appear in the editor right beside the Game Boy, like they always belonged. GALLERY, EXPORT AND SHARING Everything you make lands in a gallery with favorites, a full-screen viewer and one-tap re-edit — your exact settings restored. Export in three sizes up to a 2160-pixel long edge: save to your photo gallery, share to any app, or copy straight to the clipboard. PRIVATE BY DESIGN The whole pipeline runs on your device. Photos are never uploaded, there is no account, and the editor works offline. FREE, WITH ADS Every palette, effect and tool is included. The app is supported by a small banner and an occasional interstitial after you save or share — there are no in-app purchases and nothing is locked.
