PivotDial shows you the rotation angle of a centre irrigation pivot on satellite imagery, so you can set end gun, wiper and stop angles by the number instead of by eye. A pivot circle has no marks on it. When you need the end gun to come on at a certain spot, or the wiper to shut off before a yard, you are left pacing it off, guessing from a fence line, or running the machine around and watching the panel tick over. Even machines with GPS and an app of their own tell you where the pivot is right now, not the degree of the bin yard corner, the approach, or the tree row you want to skip. PivotDial gives you the degree of any point in the circle before you touch the panel. SET UP IN TWO STEPS - Drop a pin on the pivot center on the satellite map - Enter the pivot length from the center to the last tower The app draws the pivot circle with degree markings. That is the whole setup. No walking, no calibration, nothing to install on the machine. READ THE ANGLE TWO WAYS - Where you stand, using your phone's GPS - Anywhere on the map, by dragging a pin, without leaving the truck SAVE THE ANGLES YOU KEEP COMING BACK TO - End gun on and off angles - Wiper forward and reverse stop angles - Obstacles: rock piles, sloughs, approaches, tree rows - Stop-in-slot parking positions Bookmarks are unlimited and named, and show on the circle as numbered pins that match the list, so you can read a degree off the list while standing at the panel. ABOUT SIGNAL The angle math runs on your phone. Once a pivot is set up, your reading keeps working with no signal, because it uses your device's GPS locally. Satellite imagery needs a data connection to load. Without one you still get the angle, just not the picture underneath it. CHECK IT AGAINST YOUR PANEL Pivot panels are normally referenced to north. Compare one reading against your panel the first time you use the app. If they differ by a consistent amount, enter that number as a manual offset in advanced settings and the readings line up.
