Ping Safety gives people you trust a deliberate, private way to ask for your attention. Set your name once, add someone you trust, and choose either or both permissions: ask to alert them, allow them to alert you, or both. They see your name and review the permissions before connecting. They must explicitly approve before you may alert them. Once a relationship is accepted, holding the help control for three seconds sends the same brief, personalised help alert to everyone you are allowed to alert. There is no account or sign-in. Ping Safety does not require your email address, phone number, location, or access to your contact list. There are no ads, analytics, or tracking. Remote users may add an optional private note, described below. An optional Apple contact picker can fill a person's local name. Ping Safety receives only the contact selected in Apple's system interface, keeps only that name on the iPhone, and does not upload it or request access to the contact list. - Deliberate three-second hold to reduce accidental sends - A separate, revocable relationship for each trusted person - Fixed help-notification wording; optional Remote notes stay private - Five-minute cooldown and replay protection - Reset removes every relationship and this iPhone's service registration - Critical help alerts, subject to the recipient's separate iOS permission - A fixed self-only Critical sound test, available once per day Ping Safety supplements direct calls and local emergency procedures. Choose this iPhone, specific accepted trusted people, all accepted trusted people, or both this iPhone and trusted people. The reference Remote works in a browser without an account or special hardware. A three-second hold requests the same fixed Critical help notification. An optional note of up to 500 characters can add private context: it is encrypted, never appears in the notification, and is available only after an authorized recipient unlocks and opens Ping Safety. It expires after 24 hours. Settings offers an optional extra Face ID or passcode check for notes, off by default. Dictation retains text only, never audio. You can pause or revoke a Remote at any time. Reset Ping Safety removes all paired Remotes and their retained notes. Remote is for deliberate, human help requests, not automated events or infrastructure incidents. A send result reports confirmed or unconfirmed push-service acceptance, not proof that a person received, read, or acted on the alert.
