PILOT FUEL CALC — Know your fuel. Know your time. Fuel gauges tell you what's in the tanks. They don't tell you your real burn rate, your true endurance, or the exact clock time your engine goes quiet. Pilot Fuel Calc does — using numbers measured from your own aircraft, on this flight, not book values from a manual. MEASURE YOUR REAL BURN RATE Enter your fuel on board, start the timer, and fly. When the test period ends, enter your new fuel reading and the app calculates your actual burn rate in lbs/hr. If you can't stop the timer right away — you're flying the aircraft first — it keeps counting, glows red, and vibrates to remind you. The calculation always uses the true elapsed time, so a late stop never skews your numbers. KNOW YOUR ENDURANCE — TO THE MINUTE The moment your burn rate is calculated, you get: • Flight time remaining at current burn • Flames-out ETA shown in local time (e.g. 23:57L) • Final reserve check against FAA minimums FAA RESERVE AWARENESS Switch between Fixed Wing and Rotorcraft, and the app checks your endurance against the applicable FAR 91.151 / 91.167 final-reserve minimums — VFR day, VFR night, and IFR. Green means you have margin beyond the reserve; red means you're into it. (This is an endurance check against final reserves, not a substitute for complete fuel planning to your destination and alternate.) CONTINUOUS MONITORING Fuel burn changes with altitude, power, and configuration. Tap CONTINUE after each test and the app starts a fresh measurement from your latest reading — automatically updating your tank quantities, main tank first, so your total on board always matches reality. Run it leg after leg for a continuously updated picture of your fuel state.
