Store description excerpt
Play. It writes it down. PianoScribe listens to your acoustic piano and turns what you played into readable sheet music — bar lines, key signature, both hands, notes on the staff. No MIDI cable, no keyboard controller, no account. HOW IT WORKS 1. Put your phone on the piano, close to the strings. 2. Play. Use the count-in if you want a steady tempo to work from. 3. Read the score, fix anything that looks wrong, and export it. IT RUNS ON YOUR PHONE The transcription model is built into the app. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is kept on a server, and there is no account to create. It works on a plane, in a practice room, or anywhere with no signal — and it behaves exactly the same whether you have a connection or not. BUILT FOR REAL PIANOS Real pianos are rarely at concert pitch. PianoScribe measures the tuning of your instrument from the recording itself and corrects for it, so a piano sitting forty cents flat still comes out in the right key. It listens for the sustain pedal too, so notes left ringing underneath a chord are not written down as notes you struck again. FIX WHAT IT GETS WRONG Transcription is a judgement call, and you get the final say: • Time signature — take the app's reading or set your own • Key signature • Tempo • Rhythmic detail, when the notation looks fussier than what you played • Where the hands divide between the two staves Editing is free and unlimited. So are viewing and playback. EXPORT • PDF, to print or share • MusicXML, to open in MuseScore, Sibelius, Finale or Dorico • MIDI, to bring into a DAW WHAT IT COSTS Recording, transcribing, viewing, playback and editing are free, always. Your first song exports free. After that a single purchase unlocks exporting for good — not a subscription, not credits, and re-exporting a song after editing it never costs again. GETTING THE BEST RESULTS PianoScribe is built for solo acoustic piano: one instrument, played at a reasonable pace, in a quiet room. It is not a band transcriber. A hymn or a lead sheet comes out better than a dense, fast passage, and a phone resting on the piano beats one across the room.
