Store description excerpt
PI-Support is a mobile platform designed by senior Principal Investigators (PIs) to accomplish the following tasks: * save PIs and their site teams time and effort, * support Junior Investigators and trainees, * increase patient engagement and retention, * limit screen failures, * broaden study awareness, * integrate local HCPs and * improve data quality. It largely achieves these goals by empowering PIs and maximizing their involvement. Specifically, it enables PIs to select and prioritize which study criteria they want displayed on their colleagues’ cell phones or mobile devices (making pre-screening in busy office clinics and/or hospital ward rounds much easier for all concerned); it extracts from study protocols the answers to common patient queries (obviating the need for PIs and Sub-Is to locate and review extensive study protocols); it helps to ensure the right patients are enrolled into the right trial by offering side-by-side comparisons of each competing trial; and increases study awareness by enabling site teams to share selected study information with their community-based referral networks. Finally, intra- and inter-site bulletin boards allow PIs and SCs to discuss their local and study-wide concerns/solutions with other site PIs and SCs, CRAs and study sponsors. Overall, PI-Support can be used as a stand-alone tool or seamlessly integrated into existing CTMS to provide broad spectrum, site support.
