Store description excerpt
Photo3D Studio turns a folder of ordinary photos into a 3D model, entirely on your Mac. Photograph an object from every side, then drop the folder into the app. Photo3D Studio reconstructs the object using Apple's Object Capture, shows you the result straight away, and lets you trim off the floor and the background before you export. WHAT IT DOES • Builds a 3D model from 20 to 200 photos • Exports USDZ and OBJ, ready for AR Quick Look, Blender, Cinema 4D or Unity • Five detail levels, from a fast preview to full raw quality • Interactive trim box: six sliders cut the model down to the object itself • Opens existing USDZ, OBJ, SCN and DAE files, so you can trim models you already have • Drag a folder straight onto the 3D view PRIVATE BY DESIGN Everything happens on your Mac. The app has no network access at all: no account, no upload, no cloud processing, no analytics. Your photos never leave your machine. It reads only the photo folder you pick and writes only to the export folder you pick. macOS asks about those two folders once, and the app remembers them. REQUIREMENTS macOS 13 or later, and a Mac with Apple silicon or an Intel Mac with at least 4 GB of video memory. That is a requirement of Apple's Object Capture technology, not of this app. TIPS FOR GOOD RESULTS • Keep roughly 70 percent overlap between consecutive photos • Walk around the object instead of turning the object • Use even, diffuse light and avoid hard shadows • Matte objects scan better than glossy or transparent ones
