FORCE OF NATURE (June) is a new outdoor soundwalk created by composer Phil Kline to be presented on the PS21 grounds (in Chatham, NY) at dawn on June 21, the first day of summer 2026. Complementing Kline’s winter soundscape, FORCE OF NATURE (FEBRUARY), the June walk celebrates the blooming of spring and arrival of summer, using the voices of local children as part of the musical fabric. Participants will walk together across a cleared path as they play interlocking tracks on their phones, speakers, or boomboxes, turning the landscape of PS21 into something almost unimaginable – a vast musical hallucination of cosmic harmony.
