Store description excerpt

"Are your periods heavy?" Doctors ask it before iron infusions, during anaemia workups, at routine checkups — and the way they find out is a paper PBAC chart (Pictorial Blood Loss Assessment Chart) you fill in by hand. Most of us can only shrug: we're taught to track dates, never how much. PeriodVol does that counting for you. Log the pads, tampons or menstrual cups you use — by tapping a picture, no numbers to enter — and PeriodVol gives you a PBAC-equivalent score and an estimated flow in millilitres, each day and across the whole cycle. It marks the 80 ml per-cycle line clinicians use to define heavy menstrual bleeding (HMB), so you can see exactly where your cycles sit — and bring real figures to an appointment instead of a guess. Clinicians estimate menstrual blood loss with paper pictorial charts (the PBAC). PeriodVol is the only consumer period app we know of that does this in ml, automatically. How every millilitre value is derived — and what this method can and cannot tell you — is published openly at periodvol.app/methodology. LOG WITH PICTURES, NOT NUMBERS Tap the picture that matches what you used — a pad (by size and how soaked it is), a tampon, or a menstrual cup (by capacity and fill). Clots and flow colour too. PeriodVol does the ml math. SEE WHERE YOUR CYCLE SITS A clear cylinder shows your cycle total against the 80 ml line — a reference line, not a verdict. Volume bars let you compare cycles over time; for most people the trend matters more than any single cycle. A REPORT FOR YOUR DOCTOR (PRO) When you need to show, not tell: a printable summary of your cycles in ml with FIGO normal ranges and a PBAC-equivalent score, plus CSV export. One-time purchase — no subscription. PREDICTIONS After a few logged cycles, PeriodVol predicts your next period, ovulation and fertile window on the calendar. (Estimates only — not a method of contraception.) WHAT LEAVES YOUR PHONE • No account, no sign-up. • What you log stays on your device. Your dates, volumes, colours and products are never sent — not in any form. • The app does send anonymous usage pings: which screen or action it was, how you arrived, your platform, app version, language, time zone, screen size, and how long since you installed it. They carry a random install ID you can reset. • If you turn it on — it is off by default — it also sends a one-line anonymous summary of each finished cycle: volume, length, month. • No ads, no third-party trackers, and we never sell or share your data. • Optional PIN or Face ID lock. Export a backup or delete everything anytime. PeriodVol is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition. Volume figures are estimates based on published product-absorption research and may be inaccurate. If your flow worries you, talk to a healthcare professional — ideally with your numbers in hand.
