Store description excerpt

Pedalmath is a set of five cycling calculators and a garage that remembers your bikes. THE CALCULATORS Tyre pressure — a front and a rear figure from rider and bike weight, tyre width, surface, riding style and weather. Tubeless and hookless rims are taken into account, with a warning when the result passes the 5-bar hookless limit. PSI or bar. Gear ratio — ratio, gear inches and speed at your cadence for every chainring and sprocket combination, from a groupset preset or your own teeth counts. Chain wear — measure a 12 or 10-link span against the spec length, or estimate from mileage. The replacement threshold follows the drivetrain, 1 to 13 speeds. Bike size — frame size from your height, or from your inseam if you have measured it, plus a starting saddle height. Long-ride nutrition — carbohydrate, fluid, sodium and calories per hour for a ride of a given length and intensity, adjusted for heat. THE GARAGE Add your bikes with a photo, and every calculator keeps its own settings per bike: the road bike's 32 mm tubeless setup doesn't overwrite the hardtail's 57 mm. Mileage comes from Apple Health. Cycling workouts are imported and you assign each one to a bike — the app suggests which bike from the ride's average speed and learns each bike's signature as you confirm. Not using Health? Add rides by hand. From that mileage the garage tracks what your components have left: • Chain — by mileage, using the same wear model as the calculator • Cassette — counted in chains worn on it, not guessed from kilometres • Tyres — front and rear separately, because the rear wears about twice as fast • Tubeless sealant — on the calendar, because that is how sealant dries out Each component gets a traffic light, and a reminder when one crosses its threshold. A home-screen widget keeps an eye on the chain. HONEST ABOUT ESTIMATES Only a chain can be measured exactly, with a ruler. Everything else is an estimate from your mileage, and the app says so where it matters. The cassette is the exception — chains are counted, not estimated. PRIVATE BY CONSTRUCTION No account, no server, no analytics, no ads. The app makes no network requests at all and works entirely offline. Apple Health is read-only: Pedalmath never writes to it, and nothing you enter leaves your device. Six languages — English, Russian, German, French, Spanish, Japanese. Metric or imperial, following your region or your own choice.
