PawCount answers one question: what do I owe the dog walker this month? Set each dog's weekly schedule once. PawCount turns it into walks that wait for a quick yes or no, so a normal week takes a single tap — and an unusual one is still recorded accurately. No more counting back through a calendar when the invoice lands. CONFIRM, DON'T DECLARE Scheduled walks appear on the Today tab awaiting confirmation. Tick the ones that happened, skip the ones that didn't. Prefer it the other way round? Turn on automatic confirmation and only step in for the exceptions. BUILT FOR MORE THAN ONE DOG Every dog gets its own colour, rates and weekly schedule. Totals break down per dog, so you can check an invoice line by line. TWO RATES PER DOG A price for the regular daily walk, and a separate one for a second walk on the same day — because the top-up walk often costs less. BILLING PERIODS THAT MATCH YOUR INVOICE If your walker bills from the 5th, set the period to start on the 5th. Totals group the way you actually pay, not the way the calendar happens to fall. START PART-WAY THROUGH A PERIOD The walker was probably going out before you found this app. When you add a dog, choose the day to count from — one tap for the start of this billing period — and PawCount fills in the walks that have already happened, up to 120 days back. It tells you how many before you save, and they wait for your confirmation rather than counting straight away, because nobody was there to check those days at the time. So your first period adds up to what the walker actually billed you for. A RUNNING TOTAL, AND A PROJECTION See what is owed so far, what is still awaiting confirmation, and what the period will come to if nothing changes. WEEKENDS, YOUR WAY Include them, stop walks being created on them, or hide the weekend from the calendar and schedules altogether. PRICES THAT STAY PUT Every walk records what it cost at the time. When your walker puts their prices up, last month's total does not quietly change. And when a single walk was charged differently — a bank holiday, a shorter walk, a rate typed wrong when the dog was added — correct that one walk on its own, without touching the dog's rate or any other walk. ROOM FOR WHAT HAPPENED A walk can carry a note: the van broke down, it was a half day, this one was a swap for Tuesday. Notes travel with the walk onto an exported statement, so a query a month later is something you wrote down rather than something you have to remember. Walks filled in after the fact are marked as such, so the two of you can tell them from the days that were ticked off at the time. MONTH AT A GLANCE A calendar with a coloured dot per dog, and a per-day editor for corrections and one-off walks. YOUR RECORDS OUTLIVE YOUR PHONE A year of confirmed walks is worth keeping.
