Christmas in the Philippines is the longest in the world. It begins on the first of September and does not let go until the Three Kings arrive in January. Paskong Pinoy is built for all four months of it. SING 33 songs, and every one of them plays. Eighteen traditional carols now have music and synced lyrics that follow along line by line as the melody plays — tap any line to jump to it. Silent Night, O Holy Night, Joy to the World, The First Noel, O Come All Ye Faithful, Hark the Herald Angels Sing, Deck the Halls, Jingle Bells, We Wish You a Merry Christmas and more. Alongside them sits a collection of much-loved Filipino Christmas sing-alongs with words on screen. Every song carries its own story — who wrote it, when, and the part you probably did not know. Silent Night was first sung to a guitar in an Austrian village in 1818. Jingle Bells was the first song ever broadcast from space. And the comma in God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen goes somewhere most people do not put it. COUNT DOWN The days to Christmas, from wherever you are in the season — the Ber months, the nine dawn masses, Noche Buena, Pasko itself. SIMBANG GABI Tick off each of the nine dawn masses as you attend them, from the sixteenth to the twenty-fourth. Folk belief says a novena completed without missing one earns a wish. ADVENT Twenty-four doors, one for each day of December. Behind them: a carol to sing, a tradition explained, something to cook, or something to do that day.
