Store description excerpt
The Parkinson Delay Keyboard app is an alternative Android keyboard specifically designed for people with Parkinson's disease, tremors, or shaky hands. Conventional keyboards respond instantly and often display multiple characters if fingers are fidgety. This makes typing extremely difficult. With this app, you can deliberately slow down your typing and thus avoid accidental multiple entries. Even with tremors, each keystroke is consciously recognized and executed only once. This makes typing possible and significantly more pleasant. Features at a glance: Large, clear keypad for easy typing. Input delay adjustable from 0.5 to 3 seconds. Optional repeat function for the delete key only, at a slow speed. Integrated voice input key. Easy switching between letters and special characters. No complicated settings – easy to understand and ready to use. Who is this app intended for? People with Parkinson's disease or tremors. Users with limited fine motor skills. Anyone who accidentally presses the same key too often while typing. Note on development: The app was developed in close collaboration with those affected and supplemented with features that truly help in everyday life. Parts of the code and optimization were created with technical support from ChatGPT (OpenAI).
