WHY IT WORKS - Keyword mnemonics beat rote learning only when paired with recall practice, so every association ends with an attempt to remember, timed by a spaced-repetition scheduler (FSRS). - The hint is removed as soon as the word holds on its own: real memory is measured "naked". - Reviews are scheduled for the moment you're about to forget.
