Paimaish converts between Punjab, Haryana & Himachal Pradesh land-revenue units and standard measures — accurately, offline, and in your language. If you've ever tried to convert a land record written in Kanal-Marla, or a deed that says "3 Bigha 8 Biswa," into Acres or Square Feet, you know generic unit converters get it wrong. The size of a Bigha, Biswa, Killa or Ghumaon depends on the local Karam length — and that varies by Punjab tract, by Haryana settlement era, and by Himachal district. Paimaish is built directly from real regional land-measurement records, not a generic conversion table. REGION-ACCURATE, NOT GENERIC • Select your Punjab tract (Majha, Doaba, Kapurthala, Fazilka, Ropar, Patiala/Nabha/Malerkotla, Ludhiana, Jind), your Haryana settlement system, or your Himachal district group — and every legacy figure (Bigha, Biswa, Biswansi, Sarsahi, Ghumaon, Killa, Vadda Killa) updates to the correct local Karam. • In Punjab and Haryana, Marla, Kanal and Acre use the fixed standard figures, exactly as land offices use them. In Himachal they follow the local Karam instead — 57.5" in Kangra, Una and Hamirpur, 56" in Mandi, Kullu, Chamba and Lahaul-Spiti — because that is how the state's own Revenue Department table defines them. • Units a state's records simply don't define are marked *** rather than given a number, so you never carry away a figure that doesn't exist in your jamabandi. • Also converts to and from Sq.
