Store description excerpt
Padamz is a free daily word puzzle in ten languages — English, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Marathi, Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Spanish and Dutch — plus nine more word games. One hidden word a day. Six tries. The tiles tell you how close you got. The nine other games are open too — nothing to unlock, play any of them any time. HOW IT WORKS • Type any real word and press Enter. • Each tile changes colour: right letter in the right place, right letter in the wrong place, or not in the word at all. • Use what you learn and try a better word. Six chances. • A new word arrives every day at midnight UTC. BUILT FOR INDIAN SCRIPTS, NOT BOLTED ON Most word games romanise Indian languages or hand you a Latin keyboard. Padamz does neither. • Each tile holds one akshara, not one letter. • A script-native keyboard: tap a consonant, then a vowel sign, with a live preview of the syllable you are building. • Conjuncts work the way you actually write them. • Split-tile feedback tells you when the consonant is right but the vowel sign is not — feedback a letter-by-letter game simply cannot give. TWO DIFFICULTIES Easy for a shorter word, Hard for a longer one. Switch whenever you like; your streak is per language, so changing difficulty never costs you one. STUCK? • Clue — tells you what the hidden word means. It never shows the letters. • Hint — reveals one letter in its right place. Neither gives you the answer. NINE MORE GAMES The daily puzzle is one of ten. Nine more games are in the app, all free, all offline, none of them locked: • Hunt Wordz — finish the daily word and it hides itself in an illustrated scene. Tap the objects holding its letters before your lanterns run out. • Set Wordz — a sliding-tile puzzle whose solved picture is a grid of crossing words instead of the numbers 1 to 15. • Chill Wordz — no clock, no moves left, nothing to lose. Tap the candy carrying the letter the word wants next; the colours touching it pop as a bonus. • Cross Wordz — a small crossword with a plain one-line clue for every word. • Snooker Wordz — pot the lettered balls in the right order, avoid the black ones. • Save Wordz — an archery round. Hit the mangoes carrying the word's letters before the eagles reach the tree. • Wordoku — sudoku played with letters instead of numbers, in easy and hard. • Catch Wordz — three rounds, one word each. Catch every falling letter in its own slot and dodge the fireballs. • Maze Wordz — run the bunny round a maze and eat every lettered carrot before the foxes catch you. Hide in a carrot box; a gold coin beats a fox. Cross Wordz, Snooker Wordz, Save Wordz, Wordoku, Catch Wordz and Maze Wordz use English words; the daily puzzle, Hunt Wordz, Set Wordz and Chill Wordz play in all ten languages. PLAY YOUR WAY • Practice mode: unlimited random words, no effect on your streak. • Challenge a friend: send a link and they play your exact word, then you compare tries and times side by side. • Streaks, statistics and achievemen
