Store description excerpt

OwnClean finds what is taking up room in your photo library — duplicates, near-identical shots, bursts, screenshots and videos — and then asks you. Nothing is ever deleted on its own, and nothing is preselected where the choice is genuinely yours. You see everything before it goes. That principle is the whole app. A machine cannot see what you see in a picture. Two shots that look identical may exist for a reason. A screenshot may be a receipt. So OwnClean measures, explains what it found, and leaves the deciding to you. Bought once. No subscription, no account, no advertising. WHAT IT FINDS • Duplicates — identical files, proved by their bytes, never guessed • Similar shots and bursts — compared side by side with a shared zoom, and scored for sharpness, faces and exposure so every suggestion can be explained in a sentence • Screenshots — read on your device to tell a receipt from a shot of a website. Receipts, tickets and codes are set aside and never offered • Videos — the largest, the longest, screen recordings, and repeated recordings found from three frames rather than one • Blurred shots — every photo measured for what came out sharp, and for the one-directional smear a moving camera leaves. The bar is set by your own library, so a collection of dim rooms is not condemned wholesale TOOLS • "I need 5 GB" — give it the number and it builds a plan, lowest risk first, and says plainly when the target cannot be reached • Video compressor — aim at a size, not a vague quality slider. Under 25 MB for email, under 10 MB for anything older. Trim the ends, drop the frame rate, see the result before you send it. The original is never touched • Export to a drive — copy your library to an external disk or a network share, with a SHA-256 checksum for every file and a manifest recording every date, place, album and favourite • Bring photos back — read an archive back into your library, with the dates, places, favourites and albums it left with. Live Photos come back paired. Together with the export this is a complete, repeatable backup of your photo library that you own outright • What is on your drive — library against archive in one line, and a pass that opens every file on the drive and checks it against what was written. It reports; it never acts • Analyse a folder — identical files, the biggest folders, and what has sat untouched for six months, anywhere the Files app can reach HONEST ABOUT LIMITS Deleting a photo on iOS moves it to Recently Deleted for 30 days, and the space returns only when that album is emptied. OwnClean says so every time, shows how much is still waiting, and never claims to have freed what it has not. Two albums are locked by iOS, and Photos is the only app allowed to open them: Hidden and Recently Deleted. OwnClean cannot copy those photos, cannot count them, and cannot even tell whether you have any — so it says so on the export screen instead of leaving them out quietly.
