Orivue helps blind and low-vision people read printed text and inspect everyday details with a phone camera. WHAT ORIVUE DOES Capture a printed page and Orivue reads it aloud while showing large, reflowable text. Use the magnifier for small details, or open an Identify tool to check color, ambient light, or a barcode. KEY FEATURES - Read: capture printed text, hear it aloud, and review it in large reflowable type - Five text scripts: Latin, Chinese, Devanagari, Japanese, and Korean - Auto-read: capture after the page is held steady - Magnifier: zoom, brighten, use the torch, freeze the view, and apply contrast filters - Color: hear the dominant color in the center of the camera view - Light: hear the ambient brightness level - Barcode: scan supported product and information barcodes and hear the decoded value DESIGNED FOR ACCESSIBILITY - Three high-contrast themes: Black/Yellow (default), White/Black, and Black/Cyan - Text scales up to 200% with no overlapping elements - Giant home tiles for Read, Magnifier, and Identify - Full TalkBack navigation and clear spoken confirmations - Repeat and stop controls for app speech - Adjustable speech rate and text size up to 200% HOW IT WORKS Recognition runs directly on your device using bundled machine-learning models. Camera frames are analyzed in memory and discarded; frozen magnifier views are not saved by the app. PRIVACY AND SECURITY Orivue requests Camera access for its reading, magnifier, color, light, and barcode features.
