Store description excerpt

Designed for developers, AI power users, and automation-focused Mac users, Orbit MCP runs quietly in your macOS menu bar and exposes selected Apple services to MCP-compatible clients over a local Streamable HTTP server. Use Orbit MCP with tools that support HTTP MCP servers, including Claude Desktop, Cursor, Cline, LM Studio, Codex, and other MCP-enabled workflows. With Orbit MCP, your AI tools can work with local personal productivity data on your Mac, including reminders, calendars, notes, dates, times, and timezone calculations — without requiring a hosted backend. Local MCP Tools for Apple Services Orbit MCP currently supports: Apple Reminders List reminders, search tasks, create new reminders, update existing reminders, complete tasks, and delete reminders. Apple Calendar List calendars, search calendar events, create events, update event details, and delete events. Apple Notes List folders, search notes, read note contents, create notes, update notes, and delete notes. Time Utilities Get the current time, convert timezones, calculate date differences, format dates, and perform date math. Built for Local AI Workflows Orbit MCP is designed for local-first automation. The server binds to 127.0.0.1, making it suitable for local MCP clients running on the same Mac. The app displays your local MCP endpoint in the menu bar and lets you copy a ready-to-use client configuration, including bearer-token authorization when enabled. Privacy-Focused by Design Orbit MCP runs locally on your Mac and does not require a hosted backend. Your Reminders, Calendar events, and Notes stay on the machine where Orbit MCP is running. macOS permissions are required before the app can access Calendar, Reminders, or Notes automation features. You choose which services to enable and expose to your MCP client. Security Controls Orbit MCP is intended for local use only. By default, every MCP request requires an Authorization: Bearer token. The token is generated locally on first launch and can be rotated from the menu bar. Orbit MCP also rejects unsupported browser cross-origin requests outside loopback origins and caps request size to help reduce local misuse. Perfect For Developers building MCP workflows AI power users using Claude Desktop, Cursor, Cline, LM Studio, or Codex Mac users who want local AI access to productivity apps Automation workflows involving Reminders, Calendar, Notes, dates, and timezones Local-first personal productivity systems MCP server testing and development on macOS This app is open-source: https://github.com/rusudinu/orbit-mcp
