Steve has three hearts and a corner office. Between him and the front door there is an open-plan floor, a talent pool, and whatever budget survived the last quarter. Office Defense is a tower defense game that took a job. You hire staff, you put them where the work walks past, and you survive the wave. The enemies are clients, their projects are their health bars, and the whole job is finishing the work before it reaches Steve. WHAT IS FREE Startup Loft is complete and free forever: all 15 campaign levels, that office's Endless overtime run, and its Versus board. No trial timer, no energy meter, nothing to top up. THE ONE PURCHASE One purchase, US$2.99, opens the other four offices together: Corporate Tower, Tech Campus, Co-Working Hub and Headquarters. Sixty more levels, four more offices, every Super Boss on them. That is the entire shop. No subscription, no second invoice, no in-game currency, no loot boxes, no ads, and nothing you can buy twice. THE FLOOR Twenty-two hires: seven three-rung career ladders plus the Intern. Devs, managers, sales, HR, QA, consultants, designers. Promote someone twice for the apex rung, and most of the ladders top out with a signature ability. Match the specialty to the project or watch them slog; the next wave's forecast is posted on the whiteboard. Staff have morale, and a staffer who runs out of it hands in their notice, so now you are running an exit interview mid-wave. The Intern is the gamble: its first promotion rerolls it into a random career track, cheaper forever. A flash offer drops an apex hire on the board at a discount for a few seconds. The rarest of those are mascots, which do no work at all: two of them print cash on a cycle, the third just makes every client pay more. Steve is not decoration. Executive Decision shoves a project forward, Town Hall resets the whole floor's morale, and Golf Meeting takes the clients golfing while everything freezes. THE MONEY Payroll bills every wave. Corporate tax arrives shortly after. When the till is empty there are three lenders on file and not one of them is your friend. Park cash in a term deposit and it matures, unless a client reaches Steve, at which point the market panics and you get a fraction back. One button fires the entire floor and refunds every dollar you ever spent on it. HR prefers the term "right-sizing". SUPER BOSSES Fifteen of them, three per office, waiting at levels 5, 10 and 15. They drain morale, slow your floor, drag an entourage in mid-walk, and they do not care about your offboarding sweep. ENDLESS Every office has an overtime run with no last wave. Clients speed up, payouts decay, and your best wave is the only number that counts. Opens at 20 stars on that office. VERSUS, REAL-TIME 1v1 Two devices, one join code, no lobby of strangers.
