Store description excerpt

A field of shapes. One rule they all obey. Except one. OffBeat is a quiet game of attention. The objects on screen share a behaviour: the same colours in the same order, the same morphing, the same orbit, the same pulse. One of them doesn't. Find it and tap it. Early on it jumps out. Later the difference no longer fits into a glance and only surfaces if you keep watching: a colour sequence out of order, a lagging phase, a tempo six percent slower, an extra step. At high levels several groups share the field, and the odd one belongs to none. Not a reaction game, and not spot-the-difference on static pictures. Modes - Chain: endless. Every correct tap raises the difficulty; one mistake ends the chain. No lives. - Quick Game: 60 seconds across five difficulties, from Easy to Master. - Colorblind Mode: a full separate mode with its own progression and leaderboards, where colour is never the difference - only shape, size, orientation, movement, rhythm and sequence. Every round is checked before you see it, so the odd one is always findable. Game Center leaderboards and 15 achievements. VoiceOver, Dynamic Type and Reduce Motion supported - the latter calms the movement without removing the puzzle. Haptics on iPhone, sound synthesised in the app. No ads, no in-app purchases, no accounts, no tracking. One download for iPhone, iPad and Mac.
