Store description excerpt

Poker isn't a hard game to learn. It's a hard game to keep studying. Off the Felt is nearly forty short levels that drill the part of poker you can actually get right every single time: the counting. How many outs. What price you're being laid. Whether that call is a fold. Five minutes a day, on your phone, between sessions. It is free. There is nothing to buy, no energy to run out of, no lesson locked behind a subscription — and no account to make. It works on a plane. WHAT YOU'LL DRILL • Reading a hand — name it, find it in the seven cards, pick the five that play, say who wins • The game and the money — the four streets, what you may do, who acts when, pot size, effective stack and SPR • Outs — count them, find the draw, spot the combo draws, and discount the ones that lose • Pot odds — read the price, call or fold, how often a bluff has to work, implied odds • Putting money in — sizing a bet, how often they have to fold, raise or call with a draw • Combinations and ranges — combo counts, card removal, grid notation, opens by seat, 3-bets • Equity — against one hand, against a range, and how wide your honest estimate should be • Reading the board — the nuts, what the board makes possible, bluff-catching, blockers EVERY ANSWER EXPLAINS ITSELF Getting it wrong tells you nothing. Every question ends with the actual reasoning — which card you missed, why the price was wrong, what the board made possible — because "wrong, next question" is how people bounce off poker study. BUILT TO STICK Skills you've shaken come back on a schedule, spaced out as you get them right, so the ranges you learned in March are still there in June. Your mastery on each skill is a number you can watch move. HONEST ABOUT UNCERTAINTY Most trainers only ask for your best guess. Off the Felt also asks how sure you are — and a band wide enough to always contain the answer scores worse than a tight one you hit. Knowing what you don't know is a skill, and this is the only poker app that grades it. A DAILY HABIT, IF YOU WANT ONE Set a reminder for the days you actually study — a different time at weekends if that's how your week works. Or turn it off and just do the drills. NOTHING TO SIGN UP FOR No account, no email, no password. No internet connection, because there's no server to talk to. No ads, no tracking, no analytics: your progress is a file on your phone and it stays there. WHAT THIS ISN'T It's not a solver, and it won't hand you a preflop chart to memorise. It's the arithmetic and the board reading underneath all of that — the part every solver assumes you already do fast. No real money, and nothing to wager.
