The project started with a simple idea of wanting to build their own game to play on a tablet. However, the children thought that this would not be possible as they did not have the “tools” to do it - only adults did. They became Digital Producers, which involved them coordinating, collaborating, and strategising together with designers, audio engineers and developers to produce this app. Fa’afetai lava to the Ministry for Pacific Peoples. A big thank you to our Audio Engineer, Dean Smith, who recorded the magical voices of the tamaiti. Finally, to the faia’oga of Tino e Tasi Preschool: thank you for being courageous in your teaching practice. You helped to design a learning pathway that embraces digital technology for our tamaiti.
