NOX is a memento mori app with a personality problem. Most death reminder apps are serene. They show you a grid of the weeks you have left and invite you to reflect. NOX is not serene. NOX is a four-hundred-year-old vampire who cannot die, finds that deeply boring, and resents that you are wasting the one thing he would trade three centuries for. Five times a day — or once, if you are delicate — he interrupts to point out that you are mortal and are currently spending that mortality on a rectangle. WHAT YOU GET • A countdown, in seconds, of the time your clock has left to run • Up to five reminders a day, spread across the hours you are actually awake • 500 lines written for this app, so the voice does not repeat for months • No account, no sign-up, nothing to configure beyond four questions THE VOICE "I once spent eighty years in a coffin. The clock counts toward a number you choose and can change whenever you like — it is a dial, not a forecast. Nothing here is health advice, and the joke is always aimed at procrastination and the phone, never at you. PRIVACY Your birth date and settings never leave your device. There is no account and no server holding anything about you. Uninstalling removes everything. Memento mori. Remember that you will die — and then, ideally, go and do something about this afternoon.
