There’s something living in your computer. Notchmagotchi is a tiny pixel creature whose home is your computer's notch. It watches what your computer experiences, reacts to it, remembers it and slowly becomes a creature shaped by the way you use your computer. No feeding timers. No streaks. No punishment for forgetting about it. Your computer is its world. Plug in your charger and Notchi eats electricity. Run low on battery and it gets hungry. Push your computer hard and it starts to sweat. Connect headphones and it puts on its own pair. Leave your computer alone and Notchi finds things to do by itself. On a computer with a camera housing, Notchi lives inside the notch. When tucked away, it appears as a tiny pixel creature in your menu bar. Click it and watch it walk across the menu bar, disappear into the notch and drop into its little LCD habitat. NOTCHI REACTS TO YOUR COMPUTER • Battery level and charging • Low Power Mode • computer sleep and wake • Thermal state • Wi-Fi connectivity • Headphones and audio devices • External displays • USB devices • User activity and idle time • Optional Touch ID boops • Optional Bluetooth friends • System activity A CREATURE THAT BECOMES YOURS Notchi develops its own personality from life with your computer. A computer that spends its life on a desk may raise a very different creature from one that spends every day travelling on battery power. Late nights, hot workloads, affection, accessories, changing environments and the way you work all influence its personality and eventual form. Different Notchis can become homebodies, explorers, hot-headed little creatures and other forms, with inherited pixel traits and rare mutations. A TINY PIXEL WORLD Notchi lives inside an original low-resolution LCD habitat. It walks around, naps, reads, exercises, investigates new hardware, builds furniture and occasionally gets up to things while you’re away. Important moments become memories, including first feeds, long sleeps, Wi-Fi panics, thermal adventures, unusual charging sessions, evolutions and other surprises. YOUR COMPUTER. YOUR NOTCHI. Notchmagotchi is designed to be ambient rather than demanding. It doesn’t die because you forgot to open an app, and it doesn’t nag you to maintain a streak. Ignore it and it becomes more independent. Interact with it and it becomes more affectionate. Either way, it keeps living. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Notchmagotchi does not require an account. Creature state, memories and observed computer activity are processed and stored locally on your computer. On supported systems, optional personality and dream features can use Apple’s on-device intelligence without turning your Notchi’s life into cloud data. Your computer isn’t just where Notchi runs. It’s where Notchi lives.
