Not For Me holds the words that matter to you — gluten, palm oil, added sugar, seed oils, whatever yours are — and expands each one into the ingredient names it travels under. Search a product and those words are marked right inside the ingredient list, where you can see them in context instead of trusting a badge. WHAT MAKES THIS DIFFERENT No score. No grade. No opinion about whether a food is good for you. Other apps decide what healthy means and rank products against it; this one only checks the rules you wrote. It also never goes online: the whole US food database ships inside the app, so there is no account to make, no server to trust, and it works in a basement aisle with no signal. WHAT IT DOES • Save rules in three flavours: avoid it, cut back on it, or look for it • Each rule expands into related ingredient names, and you can switch off any expansion that catches the wrong thing • Search 470,000+ US grocery products and basic foods • Matches are marked inside the real ingredient text, not summarised away • Says "no ingredient list" when there is none, instead of quietly calling it fine • Fully offline. No account, no sign-in, no network access PRICING Free with five saved rules. Searching and results are never limited — the free tier searches the same complete database. Not For Me Pro is a single one-time purchase that raises the limit to two hundred rules. It is not a subscription and never renews. PRIVACY Nothing is collected. No account, no server, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking of any kind. Your rules and your searches stay on your device and are deleted with the app. IMPORTANT Not For Me is not an allergy, medical, or safety tool. It matches words against ingredient text from USDA FoodData Central, a public dataset. Records are missing for some products and many have not been updated in years, and manufacturers change recipes without notice.
