Store description excerpt

NineLog is a record-keeping app for baseball players and parents who want to track their children's performance. Entering data for one game usually takes less than a minute. ■ Recording at-bats is as simple as pressing and releasing. Simply pressing the result key records one at-bat. Holding down the key opens the fielders' positions as they actually are, so you can slide your finger and release to record the batted ball direction in one go. It's the same motion as flick input on a mobile phone, so once you get used to it, you'll be able to hit without looking at the screen. If you weren't looking at the direction, just quickly press and release. The direction will be omitted, and the record will be confirmed. We don't force you to fill in every detail you might forget later. ■ Automatic calculation of batting average and ERA From at-bats, hits, RBIs, walks/hit-by-pitches, and sacrifice bunts/flies, batting average, on-base percentage, slugging percentage, and OPS are automatically calculated. For pitchers, ERA and WHIP are calculated from innings pitched and earned runs. You can choose the base inning for calculating ERA from 6, 7, or 9 innings. This is because calculating based on 7 innings in youth baseball or elementary school baseball would result in an inflated ERA. ■ Ball Direction Visible as a "Shape" Recorded ball directions are drawn on the field as trajectories from home plate. Hits, on-base percentages, and outs are color-coded, allowing you to see pull tendencies and the direction of extra-base hits at a glance. The finger movements used for input and the shapes of the diagrams viewed later are the same, eliminating the need for reinterpretation. ■ Recording Siblings' Statistics in One App You can register any number of people recording statistics. Statistics are separated by person, so even if you have multiple children, there's no need to reinstall or switch between apps. It also supports multiple team memberships. Setting team colors changes the screen color, making it easy to see at a glance which team's game you're tracking. ■ Usable Even in Stadiums with Poor Reception Because many baseball fields have poor reception, this app is designed to operate offline. Recording is possible even when out of range, and data is automatically saved when signal is restored. ■ If your team uses Ninepage, you don't even need to input data. If your team uses the free website creation service "Ninepage" to input match results, you can import your own statistics directly from there. There's no need to enter data twice. Only publicly available information is imported; NineLog does not overwrite team data. ■ Records remain even after changing devices. You can start using it immediately without creating an account. If you create an account using Apple, Google, or your email address, you can return to the same records even after changing devices or reinstalling the app. ■ About the cost All features are free to use.
