Store description excerpt
Nighthawk Tube is a binaural beat generator and stereo tone oscillator, built as a meditation instrument you can actually watch. Two audio oscillators, one in each ear, meet inside a glowing vacuum tube rendered entirely in particles. Their waveforms pour across the glass floor, sum into a slowly rotating interference drum, and trace a live Lissajous figure on an oscilloscope in phosphor blue-green. What you see is exactly what you hear: the binaural beat between the two tones embosses the drum, the figure turns with their phase, and a meditation figure deep in the tube shows which chakras the current frequencies traditionally touch. One purchase, forever. No subscription, no account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. The app has no network surface of its own; the only traffic it generates is Google Play's own purchase flow. TUNE. One base frequency, a balance knob to mix the pair, and a BEAT knob that dials the difference tone directly, from a half-hertz shimmer to a 120 Hz snarl. The readout shows the beat frequency and the brainwave band it would entrain: delta, theta, alpha, beta, gamma. BEAM. Not a pan, but a continuous morph between two ways of making a beat. SPLIT sends one tone to each ear, so the binaural beat is constructed centrally and needs headphones. FUSE sums both tones into both ears, so the beat pulses acoustically and survives speakers. ORBIT sweeps between them, crossing fully fused twice per rotation, optionally paced at six breaths a minute. PRESETS. Dial a brainwave band, the diatonic chakra scale, 432 Hz and Solfeggio tunings, or the Cousto planetary set. Every preset shows its numbers and cites where they came from; the frequency charts disagree with each other constantly, so each one declares its provenance rather than picking a lineage and asserting it. WAVES. Morph each side independently from sine through triangle and saw to pulse. Use it as a pure sine tone generator, a drone synthesizer, or a signal generator for checking headphones and speakers. The dials wear their waveforms and colors. TIMER. Set a 1, 5, 10, 15, 20 or 30 minute session. Start one and the bench clears: controls fade, the scene dims to the figure alone, and a phosphor ring drains around the sit. Completed sessions can be added to Health Connect if you grant the optional permission, write-only, never read back, and never recorded for a session you cancel. OUT. A master level knob and a mute switch, so you can drop the instrument to silence without losing your voicing. Works fully offline. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is logged, and no account is ever created. Made for people who sit: meditation and breath work, yoga nidra, sound baths, long focus sessions, and anyone who wants a tone generator that shows its work instead of hiding it behind a play button. The free version plays 5-minute demo sessions, a few times a day. A single purchase unlocks Pro: the full session timer and the preset library, forever. Headphones recommended for t
