Store description excerpt
WHAT IS NIGHT AQUARIUM? Night Aquarium is a collection of casual arcade mini-games set inside a public aquarium after closing time. You play the night warden: the visitors are gone, the corridor light strips have switched to blue, and every tank is glowing on its own. Your shift is to patrol the halls, keep the tanks healthy, log the creatures you meet — and unwind at the staff-room reel machine between rounds. Everything you earn is play money. There are no purchases, no real-money wagering and no cash-out of any kind; aquarium tokens only exist to unlock cosmetic patrol-card rewards inside this app. The staff-room machine spins five reels over three rows with 9 fixed paylines. Reels stop one at a time with a landing thump and shock ring; when two scatters are already showing, the remaining reels drop into slow anticipation. Wins resolve in stages, not instantly: matching symbols electrify, each payline is drawn as an animated light trail, floating values stack up, and a combo multiplier climbs while consecutive lines resolve. Fill the charge meter and an ION SURGE fires — the grid ionises and random wild pearls are injected before the win is re-counted. Land three or more bubble scatters to enter FREE TIDES: five automatic spins at a doubled multiplier under a violet jelly wash. A round sieve pan holds a mix of glowing plankton and heavy sand. Drag left and right (or tilt the phone) to agitate the pan: light plankton floats to the upper layer while sand settles to the bottom. Swing it too hard and the contents slosh over the rim and are lost. When the top layer is clean enough, hit the hex net button to scoop it into the specimen jar. Plankton scores, stray sand costs you. Each level asks for a bigger sample with a tighter spill tolerance. Numbered points glow on the tank floor. Connect them in order, 1 through the last, and the sleeping creature's outline is revealed — a starfish, an octopus, a moon jelly, a seahorse. Touch the wrong number and the line snaps and flashes red. Finish a chart and the species is entered into the observation log, which feeds the Log Two Species patrol card. The CONNECT button pulses the next point if you lose your place. One whole wall of tank glass has gone green. You hold a magnet handle on the outside; the scraper pad rides on the inside and follows it through the glass with a slight lag, so wide sweeps drift and tight corners need patience. Soft algae wipes in one pass. Hard crusted blooms take several passes and visibly crack apart first. Chain removals quickly for a combo bonus, and use the SCRUB charge for a burst that clears everything in a radius. The feed pipes branch through the building. A pellet drops in at the top and at each junction you choose left or right; every branch ends at a tank with a species tag. Match the pellet to the species that eats it and the tank lights
