A countdown app that gets out of the way. Black, white, and grey, nothing else. The biggest thing on screen is the number of days. Adding a day takes only a name and a date. Everything else is optional and can wait: lunar calendar, repeats, reminders, or a photo behind the number. Your list sorts by date with your pinned day always on top, and days you are done with can be archived with a swipe. Key Features: • Gregorian and lunar dates Count by the Gregorian calendar or the Chinese lunar calendar. A lunar birthday or festival falls on its next real occurrence, leap months and all. • Repeating events Weekly, monthly, and yearly events roll forward automatically once the date passes. • Date ranges Add an end date to track ongoing progress and elapsed days instead of a simple single-day countdown. • Big Day full-screen view Swipe through your countdowns in full-screen mode. Tap the number to toggle between total days and a years, months, and days breakdown. • Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets Single countdown, countdown list, or year progress. Supports all standard Home Screen and Lock Screen sizes. • Apple Watch and watch face complications A dedicated read-only Watch app plus complications in rectangular, circular, and inline styles. • Smart reminders On the day, or 1, 3, or 7 days ahead. Set custom reminder times for each event. Delivered via local on-device notifications. • Categories Organize events by category and filter your list with a single tap. • Flexible sorting Keep the list in chronological order, or drag events to arrange them your way. • Calendar integration Import existing events from Apple Calendar, or export NiceDays countdowns back to your calendar. • Share cards Turn any countdown into a clean image with eight layout styles to share with friends. • Spotlight and Siri Search events directly from the Home Screen. Ask Siri how many days are left, create a countdown by voice, or calculate days between two dates. • Date calculator Calculate the days between two dates, or find the exact date a set number of days from today. • Dynamic backgrounds Every new day gets a subtle grey gradient by default. You can also pick a custom photo: photos keep their original colors, and a grayscale toggle in Settings turns them monochrome across the app and widgets. • Privacy lock Protect your events with Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode, with customizable grace period settings. • Alternate app icons Choose from four monochrome icon styles to match your Home Screen aesthetic. • Safe backup files Export all events into a single JSON backup. Importing automatically skips existing events without overwriting data. • Private iCloud sync Sync seamlessly across your devices using your private iCloud database. No accounts, no sign-ups. You can toggle sync off anytime or delete remote data from Settings. No accounts, no ads, no third-party SDKs, and no tracking. NiceDays makes no network requests of its own and works fully offline.
