Network Notes is a smartphone app with Bluetooth barcode scanner support for collecting asset data and ensuring inventory registry is always up-to-date. It's front end user interface lets users define which asset data to collect, assign auditing jobs to authorized auditors and obtain reports on fixed assets. Network Notes enables: • Collection of fixed asset data and update of central asset registry in real time • Capturing of accurate and consistent asset data in various environments • Complete quick audits, in single site visits, using form-driven data collection • Auditing of assets in offline mode when internet connectivity is unavailable or intermittent • Rapidly scan barcodes, QR codes, and serial numbers affixed to assets using a Bluetooth scanner in tandem with the Network Notes mobile app Instead of using paper to collect asset data, using Network Notes to audit assets digitally will let users: • Increase their auditing Speed: Digital asset data collection reduces the time users need to spend collecting data and completely removes the time needed by business and accounting personnel to transcribe paper audit records into digital form • Improve their auditing Quality: Digital asset data collection reduces errors at points of collection and ensures that consistent sets of data are captured about each asset • Reduce Damage to the Environment: Paper auditing requires the unnecessary destruction of trees and because paper audit records are disposed of after being transcribed into digital form, they introduce waste into the environment.
